NGOs worried about implementation of the common transparency register
ALTER-EU and a broad coalition of NGOs have shared their concerns about the implementation of the new transparency register of all three institutuions with Commissioner Jourova - and discussed them with her cabinet. Reporting requirements differ a lot depending on what kind of organisation is registering and lobbying expenses are now less transparent than before. Civil society will have to pt pressure on the Commission for quick changes.
Civil society raises concerns around proposed independent EU ethics body
Together with other eight other civil society organizations, ALTER-EU wrote to the European Parliament raising concerns other the current route the establishment of an Independent EU Ethics Body is taking.

On 15 December 2020, after six years of negotiations, the Parliament, the Council and the Commission reached a final political agreement to lobbying transparency. The official Inter-Institutional agreement (IIA) has now been published and ALTER-EU analyzed it in depth.
