Campaigners demand 'code of conduct' for ex-parliament staff

According to the Alliance for Lobbying Transparency and Ethics Regulatio (Alter-EU) the case of David Harley, a former deputy secretary general of parliament, gives "cause for concern". Harley, a parliamentary veteran who had worked for the institution since 1975, joined Burson-Marsteller, a leading Brussels-based public affairs company, in March last year and was recently appointed co-chairman of the company.
