Invitation for civil society groups: ALTER-EU workshop about the corporate influence on the Commission's experts groups

Members of the European Parliament from all political groups have urged an overhaul of the rules for expert groups. ALTER-EU believes the time is right for civil society groups to come together and demand that the Commission ensures balanced representation and transparency.

Majority of lobbying consultancies still missing from EC lobby transparency register

Survey on the registration of EU lobbying consultancies in the European Commission’s Register of Interest Representatives highlights failure of voluntary approach. Almost two years after the European Commission launched the register, sixty per cent of EU lobbying consultancies are still not registered.
