Commission aiming to adopt new code of conduct ‘before Christmas’

In a week in which it became known that after 4 other ex-commissioners from the EU executive's previous team - Austria's Benita Ferrero-Waldner, Ireland's Charlie McCreevy, Germany's Gunther Verheugen and Malta's Joe Borg - also UK's Peter Mandelson now has taken up a job in public relations in the private sector, the Commission announced to come with a revised code of conduct for ex-commissioners before the end of the year.
