NGOs worried about implementation of the common transparency register
ALTER-EU and a broad coalition of NGOs have shared their concerns about the implementation of the new transparency register of all three institutuions with Commissioner Jourova - and discussed them with her cabinet. Reporting requirements differ a lot depending on what kind of organisation is registering and lobbying expenses are now less transparent than before. Civil society will have to pt pressure on the Commission for quick changes.

Commission's refusal to address Revolving Door problem triggers Ombudsman complaint of ALTER-EU groups
Corporate Europe Observatory, alongside Greenpeace, Lobbycontrol and Spinwatch, have submitted a complaint about the Commission's repeated refusal to take the revolving door problem seriously. The 'revolving door' describes the movement of staff from public sector positions to lobby jobs in the private sector, or vice versa.
